Dogs Fall to Muskies in Division Matchup
The Muskies recorded their first league win, a 15-5 victory in seven innings, over Union Hill at Hillside Park. Dan Chies pitched the win for New Market, which totaled 17 hits and closed out the game with a six-run seventh inning. Kyle Johnson gave Union Hill the first lead with a first inning, two-run home run before New Market took over the lead with a six-run third inning, during which Luke Hanzel hit a two-run double. David Stewart, Hanzel and Jay Chlan led the Muskies batters with three hits each, with Chlan hitting an RBI double during the seventh. Adam Gill and Sean O’Neill hit doubles for Union Hill. Gill and Eric Bisek had three hits each and O’Neill two.
